Frequently Asked Questions
Registration Problems
1. Who will take part in this Vigil?
All who love humanity and value the power of prayer and meditation are invited to join in this group invocation to the potencies of Light, Love and Spiritual Purpose, using the Great Invocation.
2. Why a Vigil?
World Invocation Day has been observed on the Gemini Full Moon since 1952. On World Invocation Day people all over the world will be making a special effort to use the Great Invocation. National and regional Vigils for World Invocation Day where groups of people use the Great Invocation in a rhythmic pulse every 15 minutes for 24 hours have taken place in New Zealand since 2000 and in Latin America since 2003. In addition to the multitude of initiatives on this Day the Vigil is a way of encouraging a wider network of people to use the Great Invocation as a service to humanity.
3. How do I Register?
Complete the Sign Up form. The form is available in 4 languages. We will not share your information with any third parties.
4. What is World Invocation Day?
Every year, since 1952, people in all parts of the world have celebrated World Invocation Day on the day of the Gemini full moon. To see the participants who have registered for specific 15 minute 'Time Slots':
- Go to the Sign Up page
- Click on the 'View Participants' box
- On the top left of the page where it says 'Choose a Vigil' click on the World Invocation Day Vigil. If you do not complete this step you will not see the participants
- The Participants will be listed in 15 minute time slots, adjusted to the time zone your computer is set to.
The list of participants will build up as we get closer to the Day - please register early - and please consider registering for difficult times (early morning etc.). The aim is to fill all the 15 minute slots for the 24 hours.
